Right Worshipful Brother Wayne Spooner has spent more than three decades sitting across from men who feel that gap personally. In his new blog, he explains why traditional men's organizations that meet in person, month after month, for generations still matter in 2026.

A ghost town. A Lodge that refused to disappear.

Nevadaville, Colorado exploded during the 1859 gold rush. At its peak, thousands of miners, merchants and families called the mountain town home.

Then the gold slowed down.

New strikes pulled miners toward places like Leadville, businesses closed, the population collapsed, and by World War II Nevadaville had essentially become a ghost town.

Nevada Lodge No. 4 survived it.

Chartered in 1861, the Lodge eventually stopped meeting in the old Nevadaville building for a time, but Brothers returned in the 1960s and began restoring it.

Today, more than 160 years after its charter, Nevada Lodge No. 4 still holds meetings in Nevadaville.

AUDITITION DETAILS:
WHERE: The Masonic Temple Ballroom at 986 Ouellette Ave, Windsor.
WHEN: September 12 by appointment, September 13 callbacks by invitation
WHAT TO BRING:
a. Prepare a song with an instrumental track that showcases your voice and acting skills!
(Tracks can be from YouTube or brought via USB)
b. Wear shoes and clothes to comfortably move in as there is a dance portion to the audition. If you have them, please bring tap shoes.
c. Bring a brief resume of any dance, music, athletic (gymnastics, acrobatics etc.) and/or theatre experience. We encourage performers of all backgrounds and abilities to audition!
Auditions are no charge.
