It may not feel like it quite yet, but winter tire season is quickly approaching! We are thrilled to share that Kal Tire has renewed their sponsorship with Cross Country BC, and that the annual Kal Tire Winter Tire Coupon Challenge is back for another season.

Kal Tire is the proud sponsor of the children’s Skill Development Program (SDP) here in BC, generously supporting grassroots development of our sport. They have funded ski playgrounds, adventure trails, coach development, youth coaches, roller skis, program equipment, and more.

The coupon is for a $100 discount on a set of Nokian tires, including their flagship Hakkapeliitta tire. To redeem, simply show the digital coupon at your local Kal Tire store. The coupon is valid until Sep 30, just in time for the Oct. 1 BC highway tire restrictions - but don’t wait until the last minute!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the workbee on April 26th!
It was a beautiful sunny day and we got a lot accomplished. Rental skis were brushed and stored with wax, the woodshed now has a new front and is being restacked, wood was split, the timing hut was painted, and the small timing hut was relocated. Of course, hot dogs were enjoyed and equipment was put away to wrap up the day.
Huge thanks to Georgina, Glen, Dave, Bev, and Kristi, along with all the helpers — great job, everyone! 👏☀️

Can't wait to see many of our ski friends again this Sunday!

We groomed! The little bit of snow we received has allowed a return to skiing. Above BX the conditions are surprisingly good. We are sad to say we have to pause rentals and programs, it is too thin around the lodge. See nordic pulse on the website for which trails are groomed, link in bio. Might be the last weekend for some skiing with 2 days of plus 14C next week.

We are sad to say we have to pause rentals and programs until there is more snow. The warm temperatures this week has reduced our already low snowpack to many bare spots. We cannot groom until the temperature gets to -3c or below. If we get more snow and colder temperatures we will do our best to extend the season. The gate remain open for skiing but the lodge and rentals are closed until further notice. If you do want to try skiing the best time will be after a freeze and before it warms too much. Thank you for the great days we did have in this challenging season.
