Through our continued partnership, Air North helps keep our athletes moving, competing, and succeeding.

We are excited to announce that the Air North GOAL Fund will be opening for applications on September 3!

This fund has been in place since 2018 and provides essential travel support for Yukon athletes competing in events outside of the territory.

To make things even sweeter, Air North has generously increased the fund from 30 flight segments to 50 segments this year!

Futsal referee training returns!

This 1-day course is perfect for players, parents, coaches, and aspiring referees.

Cost is $75 to reserve your spot, but Yukon Soccer Association is offering 100% reimbursement upon completion 🤝

For those who enjoy reffing and want to take it a step further... Whitehorse Futsal League will have volunteer positions for scorekeepers and paid positions for first + second officials every Wednesday evening. League begins Oct 14th 👀

This past weekend, Yukon Soccer Association welcomed Alex Valerio, Manager of Coach Education & Member Services, and Mike Whyatt, Manager of Coach Education, Digital Learning & Development, from Canada Soccer.

Alex and Mike worked with 9 Yukon coaches and 1 coach from British Columbia as part of the in-person Canada Soccer C Diploma course.

The C Diploma provides coaches with the essential knowledge, skills and practical tools needed to support player development and create effective learning environments.
As the entry point to Canada Soccer’s Advanced Coach Education Pathway, the C Diploma gives coaches an opportunity to continue developing their knowledge, skills and qualifications.

A big thank you to Alex and Mike for bringing their expertise to the Yukon, and congratulations to all 10 coaches for investing in their development and taking another step in their coaching journey.
