Endurance North Run Club is a performance-oriented, all-abilities distance running club in Whitehorse, Yukon, who are dedicated to supporting each other and building community as we train and compete together. Mission
To create an open space for people of all abilities and stages of life who are interested in training, competing, and improving together through expert guidance and mutual support.

Interesting development! This is a relative common practice. What a lot of people might not know is in addition to the pain-relieving effects, NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aleve, motrin, etc) cause a slight reduction in body temperature which also has a performance enhancing benefit.
UTMB bans painkillers at all events - Canadian Running Magazine Athletes are no longer allowed to use NSAIDs, including ibuprofen, before or during any UTMB races

A few club members were out for the AY 5km championships on the weekend in preparation for upcoming races.

Just a reminder to everyone - Athletics Yukon is hosting the 5km championships this weekend - Sunday @ 10:00 AM - this is a great chance to race on the track, and is a family-friendly event; distances as short as 200m for the under-6 crowd.
