I should’ve taken a photo of this very unusual shirt that I found somewhere along the way. The print and fabric is fabulous, but the design of the shirt was really bizarre with pointed cape thingy at the back.

Luckily that provided a lot of fabric for me I almost completely covered this jean jacket. I’m especially loving the lips on the lapel. I even saved the collar of the shirt and once I clean it up a little it’ll be included with the coat. Coming soon to The Shop Next Door

Made another pair from an unloved apron. These ones are for me. I think I love them.

Recently, I found a bag of fringe in my stash. This was the biggest one. I immediately thought this would be great on the back of a jean jacket. Yesterday I pulled out a black denimjacket from my stash, opened it up across my table and the fringe fit perfect. Absolutely perfect. This happens often. 🤷🏽🤸🏼‍♂️

Then I thought the jacket needs something more than just the fringe. I wanted to do the cut outs like this, but I only had a rather boring black sparkly piece of lace. If you can imagine. I didn’t like it for this project so I went back in search in my stash. Believe me it’s big.

Before long I came up with this sheer shirt. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s perfect. Next thing you know, I’ve got a rather cool, funky, black denim jacket. Not sure what I’m doing with it yet but stay tuned.

Several years ago, I was gifted this beautiful piece of fabric. I hesitate calling it a tablecloth cause I’m not sure that’s what it was, although there was lace all the way around.
I decided that it needed to be a pretty curtain in my sewing room. That was in my old house 3 1/2 years ago. It came with me to the new place, but only today it went back on my sewing room window. Kind of lame that I didn’t do this sooner but whatever. I still love it and it’s pretty as anything. Except I noticed today that the flowers are sideways. Minor detail I still love it.

So, I had these cute mauve jeans in my stash that I wanted to do something with. Then I found this mauve-ish shower curtain and I thought it was a pretty good match so I opened up the jeans in eight places and sewed in eight pieces of fairly see-through fabric. I know a little risqué, but only a little really. 😆
Different story for the crop top I made with the same fabric. You’ll probably want to wear a cami underneath. 🤷🏽
