At PSIC, we believe great teaching begins with a simple promise: create mountain experiences that are fun, safe, and full of learning.

That is why we are excited to highlight The Way of Play, co-authored by Dr. Georgie Wisen-Vincent and Dr. Tina Payne Bryson.

Georgie’s work fits beautifully with our Adventure Builder model and the important continuum between practice and play. As ski professionals, we are not just delivering drills or technical information. We are creating environments where people feel connected, appropriately challenged, curious, confident, and ready to learn.

Play is not the opposite of practice. Done well, play is one of the most powerful ways people explore movement, build trust, regulate emotion, take risks safely, and develop lasting skill.

As PSIC continues to develop its first-principles, science-informed approach to teaching and learning, we are grateful to be working with Georgie to deepen our understanding of how people learn, have fun, and stay safe as part of The Adventure.
