Do you feel that? There's a chill in the air - the mornings are a little cooler, the evenings a little crisper. Summer's still on, but the seasons seem to be gearing up for a change. If you're looking for something to do in Whistler this weekend, here's a taste of what's on offer:

🚠 Our Summer Alpine Experience rocks - ride the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola from Blackcomb over to Whistler, hike down to the Peak Express Chairlift and ride it up to Whistler Peak, where our Cloudraker Skybridge and Raven's Eye Lookout offer other-worldly views.

⛰️ All trails are open across both mountains, including the Ascent Trail on Blackcomb, which plays host this weekend to the Everesting Challenge. Your climb might be someone's fourth as contestants attempt to hike the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest - 29029 feet. If you see someone, wish them luck and maybe offer to treat them to apres after ;)

🍽️ Mountain Top Summer Feast, presented by , continues every Friday to Sunday at the Roundhouse Lodge. Enjoy a delicious buffet spread, live music and (if the weather permits) epic Coast Mountain views.

The new Showcase Chairlift project continues to make great progress on Blackcomb Mountain.

Major milestones have now been reached, including the completion of concrete foundations for all lift towers, ongoing backfilling work, and completion of the bottom terminal foundation.

These photos capture the installation of the upper terminal, completed last week and marking another major step forward in the project.

Looking ahead, one of the most exciting phases is still to come: lift tower installation, which will require the support of a heavy-lift helicopter this fall. Remaining earthwork around the bottom terminal is expected to be completed in September.

With foundations and terminal work progressing well, the new fixed-grip quad chairlift is really starting to take shape. Once complete, it will provide faster, easier access to some of Blackcomb's best alpine terrain.
