And once you see him, you’ll understand why.

Big Sexy is a 4 year old blue roan gelding that we bought as a c**t and have had the pleasure of raising and developing right here on the ranch. He’s spent the last few years getting real miles, seeing country, and learning what it means to carry a saddle and have a job.

He’s even spent some time on movie sets, so he’s seen plenty of different environments, activity, and commotion. More recently, we’ve started him roping the dummy and he’s showing all the makings of another job he could easily step into.

But as good looking as he is, his personality might be his best feature.

To be frank, Big Sexy is a big suck.

He’s an absolute sweetheart that loves people and attention. He’d love nothing more than to find his person, be somebody’s everyday horse, and get used and enjoyed.

He’s got the body and mind to go all day, with the foundation underneath him to head in just about any direction. Ranch on him, keep developing him in the roping pen, take him down the trail, or make him into that good using family horse everybody wants to ride.

At only four years old, his whole future is still ahead of him.

Blue roan. Big, handsome, kind, and ready to go to work.

His registered name might be Twistin Blue Steel, but around here, Big Sexy just seems to fit.

He’s also spent considerable time as a head horse. He’s broke, honest, knows his job and excels in the practice pen and quieter team roping settings. He gives you the versatility to spend the day working cattle and still have a horse you can take to the roping pen that evening.

Outside is where this gelding has really made his living. Saddle him up, point him toward the work, and go get it done. He’s the kind that would fit right into a working ranch, feedlot, pasture operation, or underneath a cowboy who appreciates a useful horse.

On top of being handy, he’s a genuinely sweet, kind hearted gelding. Easy to have around, easy to get along with, and no buck or foolishness.

We believe in representing our horses exactly as they are. He prefers quieter roping environments over the noise and commotion of a large rodeo setting. Earplugs help him considerably, and he’s right at home in the practice pen, smaller jackpots, and everyday ranch work.

Fernando is a seasoned, been there, done that gelding that has made his living with a saddle on his back and a job in front of him.

He’s been used extensively as both a pickup horse and head horse, roped plenty of steers, and spent countless days outside doctoring and working cattle. He knows what a long day looks like, knows how to handle himself, and knows how to go to work.

He’s covered serious country through the mountains in both summer and winter, crossed ice, handled rough terrain, and been ridden in just about every kind of condition you can throw at one.

Use him all week on the ranch, haul him to the roping pen, pick up broncs on him, or throw your saddle on and head for the mountains. Fernando has the miles, experience, and foundation to step into just about any program.
