"Training doesn't always have to be hard to be your best outcome"

- Christian Pickering

In this month’s Master Class, Chris joins Coach Rich for a practical conversation on what training should really look like when you are 6–8 weeks away from an MSC Sprint or Olympic distance triathlon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyNYIAvYqGE

Together, they break down the key elements that matter most during this phase of the season:

How training should shift from general fitness to race-specific preparation
Balancing intensity and volume
The importance of ex*****on and consistency
Common mistakes athletes make late in a build
How fueling changes for Sprint versus Olympic racing and how to approach short-course racing when your bigger goal is later in the season.
This episode is designed for athletes preparing for early summer races, as well as those using Sprint and Olympic events as stepping stones toward longer races later in the year.

Whether you are chasing a personal best, your first triathlon with MSC, or building toward a bigger race at the end of the season, this conversation is packed with practical coaching insights and real-world experience you can apply immediately to your own training.

Have questions for Coach Rich?

Feel free to leave a comment on the YouTube Episode Page and your question might be featured on an upcoming episode this year.
