Here is our pool schedule for this week!

Thanks so much to everyone who came out this afternoon for our slime making activity! This was the last activity day of the summer and was a great one to end on!

As requested, here is the ROUGH recipe I followed:
-1/4 cup white glue (elmer’s)
-1/4 cup shaving cream
-a few drops of food dye
-1 tsp of activator at a time until it starts to clump
activator options:
-borax solution (1 tsp borax with 1 cup warm water)
-saline or contact lens solution with a pinch of baking soda
-liquid laundry detergent (gain works the best)
-ready-made slime activator

🚨DISCLAIMER🚨
This craft can get very messy!! Create at your own risk. I recommend no carpets, no nice tables, hair tied back and bowls and spoons you aren’t planning on cooking with again. Mason jars are a great way to store it, avoid ziplocks. Enjoy and good luck!

Single Digit Night: Bring your best detective skills to Single Digit Night on Monday, August 17th from 6:30-8:30! Get ready to solve clues and find hidden treasure. For ages 7-9.

Tween Night: Join UB1 guards on Wednesday August 19th for tween night from 6:30 - 8:30. Enjoy games, challenges, crafts and more. Don’t forget to bring your bathing suit for some time in the pool!

Beechwood Kids Makers Market: Calling all young entrepreneurs! Beechwood North is hosting a Maker’s Market on Thursday, August 20th from 4pm to 7pm! Makers can sign up at beechwoodnorth.com

Adult Party: See you at UB1’s Adult Party on Thursday August 20th from 8-11pm! Email [email protected] if you are looking for babysitting for the evening.

Aquafit: Drop in at 7pm on August 23 for some hits by Canadian artists! We will be hearing from Justin Bieber, Celine Dion and other awesome Canadian singers!

Thank you to everyone who came to Hockey Night in Beechwood and helped make it such an awesome event! A huge thank you to Ben, his family, and every single person who showed up to support the Ben Jones Foundation.

Here is the schedule for tonight’s Hockey Night! See you there from 5:30-8!

August 10-16 events!

Synchro Camp: Come join us for Synchro Camp in the pool! Synchro Camp will give you the opportunity to learn fun skills, creative choreography and play fun team-building activities. Everyone who has passed their swim test is welcome!

6 and under Night: Join us for a jungle adventure at 6 and under night from 6-8pm on Monday, August 10th! Little explorers will enjoy a fun evening of jungle-themed games, crafts and music. Come dressed in your favourite jungle or animal-inspired outfit!

Hockey Night in Beechwood has been rescheduled to Wednesday, August 12 from 5:30-8pm! Join us for an evening of ball hockey, yard games, and more! Pizza will be offered for $2 per slice, and drinks, chips, freezies and popsicles are $1 each. Meet Waterloo’s own Ben Jones, forward with the Calgary Flames! He will be joining us for a meet-and-greet and autographs from 6:00-7:30pm. Attending Hockey Night in Beechwood is free for everyone! Children ages 7-12 who would like to participate in the ball hockey tournament can add their name to the sign-up sheet posted at the pool and pay the $10 registration fee at the event. All tournament proceeds will be donated to the Ben Jones Foundation, which helps provide children with access to sports opportunities.

UB1’s Carnival is back on Thursday, August 13 from 5:30-8:30pm! Join us for our end of summer party with a bouncy castle, inflatable games, cotton candy, and more! Pizza, chips and pop will also be for sale.

Aquafit: Join us for Y2K Night at Aquafit on Sunday, August 16th from 7 to 8pm!

There will be NO swimming lessons on Monday, August 3rd due to the Civic Holiday.

Hey UB1! So many exciting events this week!

Craft: Come do a puffy paint craft on Monday, July 27, from 1 to 2 pm!

6 & Under Night: Calling all princes, princesses, superheroes, and Disney friends! Join us for a magical evening filled with music, dancing, games, and lots of fun. Come dressed as your favourite Disney character and get ready to sing, play, and make magical memories with friends! For everyone aged 6 and under.

Triathlon: Get ready to run, swim and bike at UB1’s triathlon on Tuesday, July 28 from 1:30-3:30pm! Be sure to sign up on the bulletin board at the pool. Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit, towel, running shoes, bike, helmet and water!

Halloween Night: Halloween Night has been rescheduled to Wednesday, July 29! We can’t wait to see you from 5:30 to 8:30 for trick or treating and games! Costumes are encouraged!

Science Night: Come enjoy a night filled with science experiments, games, and lots of fun on Thursday, July 30th from 5:30 to 8:30pm!

Aquafit: Come to Aquafit on Sunday, August 2nd at 7pm and rock your workout!
