Vita Curling Club

The best thing we all can do is show up, put a team in a bonspiel, help out your ice maker, offer prizes for a fundraiser, sell tickets, cook something for a spiel, show up at a meeting, sponsor a junior team, do something, but show up for your curling centre this season.

Curling is built on volunteers, plain and simple. So the next time you’re are your curling centre, thank your local volunteers for all the hard work they put in😁❤️🥌

Congratulations to Denise who was tonight's 50 50 winner! She is over $1700 richer. The curling club wishes to thank everyone who helped support our cause. There will be another chance tomorrow.

Check us out under the main tent or find Sandra around the grounds. You can't miss her! Proceeds will go towards our roof repair.

Donations have been coming in and we are so grateful for your contributions. Just wanting to clarify that if you want a donation receipt, cheques must be made payable to the Rm of Stuartburn and then mailed to the curling club or dropped off at the Rm office. They will issue the receipts as the club cannot. Sorry for any confusion. If you have sent a donation and it was made to the club, you will be notified. Once again, thanks for your support!

The Vita Curling Club would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the family of the late Steve Derwianchuk of Vita. In memory of Steve, the family has made a sizable monetary donation to the club to help us continue to operate for future generations.

If you knew Steve, you would know how his community was important to him. He was one of many people who played a major role in the growth of Vita decades ago. His love of sport was evident, especially baseball.

However, a few years ago, he curled in one of the bonspiels with his grandsons. The pride he had was glowing and the feeling was mutual from his grandsons. It is that family togetherness that we strive for in our club.
