Meet Tanner Sandvig, a 16-year-old Canadian junior surfer representing Surf Canada and Team Canada in both the U16 Boys and U18 Boys divisions at the 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in Surf City, El Salvador. ISA Surf City
Tanner returns to the international stage with extensive experience representing Canada, with 2026 marking his fourth appearance at the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships.
Earlier this year, Tanner delivered a standout performance at the 2026 Rip Curl Canadian National Surfing Championships, claiming the Canadian national title in the U16 Boys division and finishing second in the U18 Boys division.
From San Clemente, California to El Salvador, Tanner will once again wear the maple leaf as he joins Canada’s top junior surfers competing against the best young surfing talent from around the world.

Growing up surfing on the west coast of Vancouver Island, Snow is part of the next generation of Canadian surfing talent. This year marks an exciting milestone as she prepares to compete in her first-ever ISA World Junior Surfing Championships and represent Canada on the international stage.
