Learn to ballroom dance!

Our three-week Intro to Ballroom workshop series is the most accessible and affordable way to try out ballroom dancing. Join one of our VBDS instructors, Wanda or Victor, who will expertly guide you through six ballroom dances over the course of the series, getting you dancing in no time and leaving you wanting more.

Weekday mornings or evenings.

Save the date for our "Welcome Back" first social dance of the season!

Join us on Saturday, September 19th for a fun night of ballroom dancing, starting with a Foxtrot workshop with Victor at 7:00 p.m., followed by general dancing, line dances, refreshments and more.

We know it's still summer, but....

Something to look forward to in the fall - Save the date for our first dance of the season. VBDS' "Welcome Back" social dance on Saturday, September 19th includes a Foxtrot workshop with Victor, line dances, refreshments, general dancing until 9:45 p.m. and more.

That's a wrap on Dancing in the Square 2026!

This past Tuesday was the fourth week in our summer dance series, bringing 50+ dancers together to enjoy our final night of outdoor dancing.

Thank you to guest instructors, Jane & Andrew, for providing the Cha Cha workshop to start the evening off and to Andrew for being our DJ for the night, keeping everybody dancing under the summer sky.

Thank you to all of the dancers who came out to support us each week, thank you to all of our instructors this summer - Victor, John, Dean and Jane & Andrew, and thank you to all of the VBDS volunteers who helped with set-up, take-down and staffing the information table, with special mention to Leigh R. for being our "super star" tech support and site service coordinator!

Week three of ballroom dancing in Centennial Square!

This past Tuesday saw close to 80 dancers come together to enjoy an evening of outdoor summer dancing.

Thank you to guest instructor, John de Pfyffer, for providing a fun Jive workshop to start the evening and for being our DJ for the night, keeping everybody dancing the night away!

Join us next Tuesday, August 4th, for the final week of Dancing in the Square 2026 in Centennial Square (downtown Victoria). Guest instructors, Jane & Andrew, will be providing a FREE Cha Cha workshop from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by FREE general dancing until 9:00 p.m. with music by Andrew.
