Triathlon Canada Nationals
Congratulations to all of the finishers of the 2026 Triathlon Canada National Championships in Victoria.
Age Group and Elite racers braved the rough frigid ocean waters off of Clover Point in downtown Victoria - which eventually became so rough that the finals of the Elite Division were changed to a duathlon.
Despite the tough water conditions, the looping course was fast, fun and exciting to watch.
Many of the participants and volunteers train in the Pinnacle training sessions in Victoria – we are proud of you!
The elite races were also followed by the inaugural fun Boomtown Social Triathlon led by Canadian Olympic legends Simon Whitfield and Brent McMahon Prec.
Congrats to everyone that took part in the weekend!

Heart Rate Zones Testing!
Pinnacle Athlete Maggie Bell completes her heart rate zone test at the Pacific Institute for Sport Education.
Heart rates vary greatly on individuals regardless of fitness levels, that is why it is important to test, analyze, and determine your personal training zones. These personal zones will then be prescribed and used while training to utilize the body’s different energy systems and optimize improvement. The zones can also be used during racing as guide for the most efficient effort levels during performance.
Maggie will be putting her training zone to the test as she prepares for some multisport races and a Half Marathon this fall – Go Maggie!
Maggie is also a sport enthusiast and physiotherapist who helps others with their health. You can read about Maggie’s clinic here:

Easter Swim!
A longstanding tradition - the Good Friday Easter Morning Swim at Noosa Main Beach. What a great way to start your Easter weekend - a 3K group swim starting at Noosa Main Beach to beautiful Tea Tree Bay and back. Along the way you pass by surfers on First Point, Little Cove, and Boiling Pot all while paralleling the Noosa National Park coastal boardwalk and trail. What a tour! And you have company - over 100 swimmers of all speeds from the Noosa Triathlon Club and other local swim programs.
