Good morning friends,
Hopefully you have all heard the news by now, but a friendly reminder that we will be cancelled this week as victoriatrinationals are taking over Clover Point all weekend.
It’s a great opportunity to check out our island neighbours Shawnigan Hills parkrun Beban parkrun or Courtenay Airpark parkrun- or if you are staying in town, come check out the racing and take part in the free family 5k at 1:00pm on Saturday.
We’ll be back on the 29th, ready for a belated 🇨🇦 10th anniversary. See you then!

2026 Tour de Victoria - August 15, 2026
Friendly reminder that the 2026 Tour de Victoria is coming up this Saturday, and with it comes road closures and parking restrictions along Dallas Road.
We will be open for business as usual, but will be prompt in packing up to make sure we are out in good time. If you plan to linger in the park much past 10:00, we might suggest parking in Cook Street village and walking down to the start, or better yet ride your bike!
Weather is looking great and it should be another fun event. Best wishes to the organizers and all participants!

Clover Point parkrun #389
August 8, 2026
A slightly overcast summer day brought out a great crowd, as 182 enthusiastic participants completed parkrun today. We welcomed 11 new parkrunners and a further 25 completing our course for the first time, including tourists from the UK, Australia, and all across Canada. Thanks for coming!
The calm overcast skies certainly led to some speedy times, as a healthy 21 participants recorded new PBs. First finishers were the speedy Paul Blazey (well named, sir) and Elani Bykowski in 17:37 and 20:25, respectively. Furthermore, a hearty congratulations to Mark Miele for completing his 50th parkrun milestone, and to Amir Heydari, Nathaniel Moreau and Justin Aylward for completing their 25th! Well done to all of you.
Our favourite Maltese Canadian photographer was roaming the finish area taking photos - you can find them at the album link below. Feel free to share, but please tag Joe. Thank you!

It was an unseasonably cool (15C!) and breezy morning down at Clover Point today, but our 160 participants didn't seem to have minded too much! We welcomed 12 first time parkrunners and 26 participants who completed our course for the first time, including folks from the UK, USA, Australia, and across Canada. Welcome, and thanks for joining us!
The breeze didn't seem to bother too many, as we had 20 participants achieve new PBs. First finisher congrats go to Max Ballard and Natalia Seal in 17:58 and 21:50, respectively. Well done to all of you. Special congratulations also go out to our pal Rick Bylsma, who completed his 100 milestone today. Way to go, Rick!
Our pal was snapping shots around the start area - we've included a few of our faves, but feel free to review the rest of the album at the link below. Feel free to share, but please thank Joe as a courtesy. Thank you!

Clover Point parkrun #386
July 18, 2026
Wow! It was a pretty fast parkrun this morning, as our friend Mike brought out some of his Speedfarm mates out for a time trial. Our 176 participants were treated to a pretty good day, calmer than anticipated under overcast skies. Perfect PB weather, to which 33 finishers agreed after lowering theirs. A healthy 29 runners finished under 20 minutes, led by first finishers Taylor Chan and Claire Babiuk in 17:01 and 18:00, respectively. Well done to all finishers.
Special welcome goes out to 21 participants running their very first parkrun, and a further 15 completing our course for the first time. Welcome! We'd also like to send out a big congratulations out to Tirth Upadhyay for hitting his 50th milestone and John Cooper for his 25th; and for Dave Anderson for 200, which is not an "official" milestone but still impressive nonetheless.
Our photographer snapped a few pictures, which we've included at the link below. Feel free to share, but please credit Joe. Thanks!
