Sunday Sunday Sunday! A great class full of mindful practice of basics, kumite drills, and kata, kata, and MORE KATA! We look forward to resuming our full schedule soon.

Great to see so many folks on the floor in our Tuesday and Sunday classes, all summer long!

Tuesday after warm ups with Shihan Darren we practiced Geri, (kicks) Kumite (sparring) and full Kata curriculum up to Wanshu.

Sunday morning after warm ups led by Sensei Garrett and Sensei Jen, Shihan Erich led us thru Kihon, focusing on details for turns, then some Kumite drills, followed by Kata.

Both were active classes that asked karate-ka to dig deep on flexibility, endurance, and details.

Keep up the training and remember to practice your strength and flexibility at home, too!

Even though parking was scarce today, those who persevered enjoyed a great class!

After warm ups, stretching, and Kihon with Sandan David and Nidan Shirley, the class practiced a variety of Kumite drills, followed by Kata with special emphasis on upper level and accessory kata today, interspersed with repetition and refinement of Pinan Shodan.

It was wonderful to see chris.spencerlowe, who is visiting BC with his family from our school CASK Karate Halifax in Nova Scotia. So nice to catch up and have a familiar face in the dojo.
