Contest alert! 🚨🧩
Our beloved Puzzle Lab flagship store is becoming a Puzzle Lab puzzle. The crowds are saying, “How meta!” and “Woahhhh, Puzzleception!” They’re also saying: “woof!” 🐶
Celebrated Canadian artist Nicolle Lalonde is creating an illustrated version of our Government Street home, complete with iconic Puzzle Lab details like the woodcut counter, framed puzzles, hanging puzzle-piece pillows, Whimsy, and... one very special dog.
That dog could be yours.
Introducing the “Who’s That Doggo?” contest! One lucky dog will:
- Be illustrated by Nicolle Lalonde
- Be featured in the final puzzle artwork
- Receive a complimentary copy of the finished puzzle (approximate value ~$120)
- Achieve local Puzzle Pup fame forever
The winning dog will be selected by artist Nicolle Lalonde and the Puzzle Lab team. This is not a public voting contest.
The photo submissions will be judged by the following selection criteria:
- Personality aka “Whimsy points”
- Photo quality
- Visual suitability for the artwork
- Overall charm
- How well the dog fits the composition
Here’s how to enter!
Participants must:
- Live in Canada or the U.S. (excluding Quebec)
- Be following Puzzle Lab on Instagram
- Tag one person in the comments on this post (either on Facebook or Instagram)
- Complete a submission form, which will include providing: their name, their dog’s name, 2–5 photos of their dog, permission to use the information and images provided, and a short note about why their dog would make a great Puzzle Pup!
The “Who’s That Doggo?” contest runs from the time of this posting until August 3rd, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM (PDT). Illustration of the winning dog will begin after the contest closes, and the complimentary puzzle prize will be awarded as soon as possible after the puzzle design is completed and the puzzle is ready to be shipped.
