Our thoughts are with everyone in BC affected by wildfire right now. Vernon and the Okanagan area hold a special place in our hearts, and everyone at Cabin is saddened to hear of the impacts of the Bradley Creek and Quilpituk Creek wildfires.
We hope that all evacuees can find comfort in the support of their communities and the amazing work that many organizations do for wildfire recovery and relief.
Thank you to the local fire departments and BC Wildfire Service for your hard work in the face of very challenging conditions.

Our GIS division recently wrapped up a research project identifying reed canary grass.
Utilizing drone-based aerial imagery, they tested the efficacy of identifying the grass with a classification model that they developed. After validating results, they presented it in a final report.
