Jamie is the Vice President of our Vernon Curling Club Board and, although he recently moved to Kelowna, it’s true… his heart is still right here in Vernon — and at the best curling club in the Okanagan! ❤️🥌

Jamie is a true community person. He’s also the driving force and President of Funtastic, an incredible event that brings thousands of people to our little town each year.

He knows how to bring people together, build community and put on one heck of an event — and we’re pretty lucky to have that experience, energy and passion on our board.

Welcome to the spotlight, Jamie! We’re so glad your curling heart stayed in Vernon. 😉🥌

🥌 THEN & NOW: KEVIN GEISTLINGER - Vernon Curling Club Manager🥌

1990 — Kevin was just 18 years old, already working behind the scenes at the Vernon Curling Club as an assistant ice maker.

And look at him now! 36 years later, he’s our Curling Club Manager!

But in all those years in between, Kevin has been an avid member, curler, and volunteer . ❤️ He even said his “I Do’s” 💍🤵👰 upstairs in the lounge 30 yrs ago!

His connection to this club goes deep and his heart even deeper! His grandpa curled here. His dad curled here. Their names are still proudly found on curling rocks around the club. 🥌 Fun fact - Kevin’s father in law was a curling club manger in Kamloops (MacPark)

From a 18-year-old junior helping make the ice to Managing the club today…

Kevin, you really are part of the heart and soul of the Vernon Curling Club. 🥌❤️

From Little Rockers 🥌 to our Club President!

This is TJ Perepolkin—our Vernon Curling Club Board President—he’s gotta be 9-10 years old here, proudly standing with Vernon Cash Spiel trophy and the winners the Kevin Martin team. And apparently he skipped school that day and his dad found him at the curling club . 

TJ isn’t just our Board President.
He’s a lifelong curler.
He’s a volunteer.
He’s a leader.
He’s part of our history.

His dad was a member.
His wife is a member and long time curler.
And now one of his daughter is a member. That’s generations of curling.

So when we say TJ is more than our Board President, we mean it.

He’s been part of the Vernon Curling Club story for all of his life. He carries its history, contributes to its future, and continues to share his love of the game with the next generation.
