Gotta love velvet bucks!

Been getting some pics of this guy pretty regularly! Gonna be fun bow hunting this buck! He just needs to enjoy his quiet lil spot for a few more weeks!!

We have 4 openings for our prime rut September archery elk hunts. These hunts are in Eastern Alberta and only available to Alberta residents. Spot and stalk, calling, treestands, groundblinds are the main hunt methods. Fully guided, meals, accommodations at our lodge are all included! $3500. Deer and bear can be added for a trophy fee. Give us a shout and let’s go elk hunting!

We got home from a mountain scouting trip just in time to check some bucks at deer camp! We are seeing great antler growth early in this wet summer! Trail cams are getting set out and lots of late nights sitting on hills glassing game!

July 6, 2026 .Watched this buck last summer as a 2 year old and haven’t seen him since until tonight. I believe he’s only 3 years old now. He will be fun to watch grow this summer as he’s living in a spot we hunt/scout regularly. Trail cams were set up tonight. I’d love to see this buck make it to 6 years old! He’s living in the right spot for that to happen!

Got out for my first night of July scouting and was not disappointed! Seen a couple nice bull elk, handful of whitetail and mule deer bucks, as well as too many moose to count! We have 2 archery elk hunts available in the prime rut of mid September for Alberta Residents only… Hopefully someday the government will allow non residents to hunt elk and moose in these zones!

Happy 4th of July to all of our great friends from the USA! We love you, just don’t get too cocky about hockey around us… giving your guide s**t about hockey will not bring bigger bucks in front of you! 🤣🤣
