Your sport is not a hobby. It's how you regulate.

For people who carry a lot — the decisions, the inbox, the people who need something from you — the hard effort isn't one more thing on the list. It's the thing that makes the list manageable.

One hour where nothing is ambiguous. Where the only ask is the next interval, the next stroke, the next climb. You go in holding the weight of the week, and you come out lighter. Clearer. Steadier. More like yourself.
That's not escape. It's regulation. It's how you stay sharp for everything that matters when you're off the bike.

No pace required. No podium. Just the practice of coming back to yourself — again and again.

If that's why you train, you're our kind of athlete.

There is nothing quite like your first open water sunrise swim.

The water is cold. Your wetsuit is new. You have no idea where the buoy is.

And then you're in. And somehow it's exactly right.

Open water swimming is different from every other discipline in triathlon. It's uncontrolled, unpredictable, and completely alive.

Which is exactly why we do it.

Our summer OW Swim Program at Kits Beach starts in 13 days. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:45am, June 16 through August 27. Coach Liam in the water and on the paddleboard — real-time coaching, ability groups, no experience required.

Why I coach the way I do.

I’ve never measured a season by what someone did on their best day. I measure it by whether they’re still here a year later — still curious, still building, still enjoying the work.

There’s no pace you need to hit to train with me. No podium, no résumé. Just the willingness to keep showing up when it isn’t convenient — because that’s where progress actually lives. Not in the heroic week. In the ordinary one you didn’t skip.
Eight hours or twenty-eight, we build around your life, not the other way around.
If that’s how you want to train, my inbox is open. brite.coach — link in bio.

Pool swimmers are often the worst open water swimmers.

That sounds counterintuitive. But open water is not an advanced version of what you do in a lane. It’s a completely different skill set — and most pool-trained athletes have never been taught any of it.

Sighting. Cold water entry. Drafting. Breathing in chop. Reading current. Managing contact. None of these come from pool fitness. All of them are coachable.

The Brite Summer Open Water Swim Program opens June 16 at Kits Beach. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:45am, through August 27. Coach Liam Clawson-Honeyman in the water with you every session.

1x/week — $295 + GST
2x/week — $575 + GST
