Two characters find themselves trapped in a cave and confronted by a supernatural Pit after becoming lost in the deep woods and encountering a mysterious Creature. Lines of logic and reason blur while the pair sink into a violent absurdist abyss.

The Coward is a play written by composer and sound designer Anju Singh (). For her debut playwrighting work, she brings influences from her sound and noise practice, passion for surrealist and experimental film as well as Melt movies, absurdist plays and existential philosophical questions. The play explores characters who cosplay as socially acceptable humans in a world demanding normalcy and compliance, despite the violence this may cause to their own existence.

Presented by VACT in partnership with Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre
