I hear TNR hit a record number last night! Could we get 1/2 that number at Wavechaser? Come on and race tomorrow! It will be high tide at 7:30 so might still be a bit of swirling current. Wind is forecast to be calm. Maybe QC?

Hello all. Thursday…. Hmmmm… You went swimming last week so that’s not a priority this week… what’s the tide and wind doing? Feels pretty hot today, so I’m pretty sure we will have to cool off during the Wavechaser on Thursday. A similar course to last week but with a short hiatus on each lap! 😁 That is unless there’s a great downwind happening…

We miraculously ended up with a nice window in the weather yesterday. There was lightning at 6:00 but things calmed down and the sun came out occasionally at 6:30. The race went off on time but we did not do the wet start or remounts as the air temp was cool. Everyone had fun, with a couple of good performances from the double surfskis, the SUPs, and two V1s that are usually in an OC2 for these races.
It’s always anybody’s guess what next week will bring for conditions and course. The only known entity is the tide!

Hello all. This week’s race will be….. hmmmm what’s the wind going to be…. Where are the swells coming from… When you look at the Jericho weather log, the wind died off at 4:30 and switched from West to South East. How can you plan a race with things like that happening!!! I wonder what the water temperature is like? 🤔 Perhaps a remount race? Or a hand paddle race? Or a shortened version of the Race To Alaska? Some of you will be heading to the Columbia Gorge on the weekend, so a nice downwinder would be a great warmup. As you can see it’s not easy making a plan! Come join the fun on Thursday!
