Most people in the west have no clue the purpose of Yoga.

The west doing what it does best, taking something and distorting and manipulating it to fit a box ๐Ÿ“ฆ that can be sold and bought as a product - consumerism.

I was born and brought up in India.

I lived there most of my life.

Yoga in India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ is respected as a spiritual practice of union of Atman (individual soul) with universal source.

Yet here in the West, Yoga is pushed into a 50-60 min exercise class or stretching. Yoga is one of the many activities you can choose to do alongside Pilates, b***y sculpt, and many other fitness classes.

The real benefit of discovering the full expression of what a human being is, our inner connection to universal source and the practices of turning senses inwards to perceive and understand our inner world, becomes lost between the sequences of asanas and white washed, re packaged, pick and choose as to what is the most sellable and trendy.

True spirituality is not based on trends, or made to suit the ego of the culture that is choosing to capitalize on it.

Yoga is a billion dollar industry, where majority of that is accrued and distributed in western countries by people with no affliction to the land it comes from nor the culture it which it was created and deeply a part of our entire philosophical understanding of life.

The short is it; Yoga is a business in the west.
In India, Yoga is a way of life.

I am beyond grateful to have experienced authentic Yoga from its source and to understand its purpose of awakening oneโ€™s self from maya (the illusion).

Yoga is a path to self enlightenment and awakening from the dream state.

Yoga is a path, a journey for self to understand Self.

When we choose to deduce it to physical exercise practice we are perpetuating the illusion. Chasing what is temporary (the body) without realizing what powers the body.

That is for you to experience urself, through becoming still and observing your own thoughts, breath and sensations.

Yoga is arriving at stillness - pure awareness - the nature within that is and will always be.

When you are ready to understand this, you are ready to begin Yoga.

The rest is just noise

Yoga Chakra Sound Meditation

According to the chakra system of India also known as the energy body, each point of energy holds a specific frequency or seed of a sound known as beej, which means seed in Sanskrit.

The first chakra is at the base of the spine called Muladhara chakra. This is connected to our security and our survival, the need to have food, shelter, clothing, and financial safety to ensure survival.

The next chakra is the Sacral chakra known as Swadisthana chakra, it is connected to our sexual energy, vitality and our own unique expression of creativity.

The next is the solar Plexus known as Manipura chakra. This is connected to our sense of self, where ego is born, our individual place in the world, how we stand and face and interface with the world.

Next is the heart chakra, Anahata chakra, the frequency of love.

Then the throat chakra, Vishudhi, our own unique voice or perception and expression of truth consciousness, your own unique experience,

Next is is the third eye, Anja chakra, the ability to see from within, our own nature, to see beyond matter,

and

then the final chakra is at the crown of the head, the Crown chakra each of these chakras have their own vibration and when chanted or hummed, it can connect you to that energy and help to psychologically calm the mind and thereby ease and calm the nervous system this can be seen as sound meditation, allowing the frequency to reverberate within your body, the frequency of the vibration of each chakra.
