Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. Weโre proud to keep learning and taking action alongside this important movement.
As National AccessAbility Week wraps up, our work to advance accessibility continues.
This yearโs theme, โBuilding a Strong, Accessible Canada,โ reminds us that creating a barrier-free country is an ongoing responsibility. We all have a role to play during this week and every day after.
Here are a few ways you can act:
โข Start a conversation about accessibility.
โข Learn from people with disabilities and lived experience.
โข Recognize the work of allies, organizations and communities removing barriers.
โข Look for barriers in your workplace, services or community.
โข Take steps to make your communications, spaces and events more accessible.
โข Share resources that support accessibility and disability inclusion.
Tell us in the comments how you are helping to build a stronger, more accessible Canada.
Every action moves us forward.
