Happy retirement to Dave Carr who is retiring from Van Kam Freightways after nearly 39 years of service. Dave started working for the company all the way back in 1987!

Dave has been on a 2:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. shift for last 17 years. He's looking forward to regaining regular daytime hours and spending time with his family.

Teamsters Local 213 is responding to the devastation of this BC wildfire season. Active members who have been forced to evacuate their primary residence are eligible for a one-time relief payment of $500.

Another incredible recipient of the 2026 Student Award Scholarships in recognition of Joseph Whiteford and Don McGill!

Sofia Sutherland received a cheque for $2,500 that will be used to continue her studies in public relations at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Sofia's father Alastair Sutherland is a proud Teamsters 213 member who works at Avis Budget Group.

Teamsters Local 213 Principal Officer Tony Santavenere and President Ray Zigmont were on hand to present the cheque!

Our Teamsters Local 213 delegates are doing us proud this week at the Teamsters Women's Conference in Washington DC.

Another Teamsters Local 213 scholarship recipient!

Congratulations to Luka Levarda on receiving $2,500 towards his post-secondary education at the University of British Columbia where he is studying chemical engineering! Luka's dad, Dragan Levarda is a Teamsters member working for Heidelberg Materials. Congratulations to the Levarda family!

Luka received his cheque from Teamsters Local 213 Business Representative Barry Capozzi.
