When the wicket hurts physically and emotionally. 😂

The final wicket of a very tight one against Kelowna Kamloops, with their centurion still at the crease and looking like he might get them home.

Kieran Adams had other ideas.

In fairness, after making 105, this feels like a fairly reasonable reaction.

🏏 FINAL REGULAR-SEASON WEEKEND

A last-minute schedule change means the 5s now move to Sunday, September 6 at Upper Brockton, while the 4s still take on West Van at Hugo Ray on Saturday. Both games have an 11:00am start, so don’t get caught operating on normal cricket time.

These two sides are playing their final games of the 2026 season, while the 1s have the weekend off before their semi-final against Newton Surrey on September 12 at West Newton.

One last regular-season weekend. Go well, Lomas. 🧡🖤

🏏 TEAM LISTS

The regular season is winding down — but there’s still plenty on the line.

The 1s play their final round-robin game at Connaught, with the top four still fighting for semi-final positions.

The 4s and 5s both have two games remaining, with the 4s at home on Sunday and the 5s continuing their late-season battle at the other end of the table 👀

Everyone else is officially done for 2026.

Good luck to all three sides still in action this weekend. 🧡🖤

Still plenty to play for. 🏏

The 1s are back at Connaught on Saturday for their final round-robin game, with the top four still battling for semi-final positions.

The 4s and 5s both still have two games left in their seasons. The 4s are home at Connaught on Sunday, while the 5s continue the fight to avoid the wooden spoon. 😅

For the 2s, 3s, T20s and U17s — that’s a wrap for 2026. 🧡🖤

And one for the calendar: Awards Night — Friday, September 25. More info coming shortly!

Club milestones. 🟧⬛🏏

A few big ones reached this season, with Adam Harvey, Thomas Viljoen and Yash Roy bringing up 100 games for Meraloma, and Lee Edwards passing 150.

Adam has been around the club since 2013, captaining the Vs on and off and on and off again, always lending a hand, and quietly doing the sort of club work that keeps things moving.

Tommy has been a 1s player since 2016, scoring plenty of runs, taking wickets, and somehow still finding time to be a cross-code Loma over with the rugby side as well.

Lee has been part of the club since 2014, a long-time award-winning 1s captain, and one of the major figures in the team over many seasons.

Yash joined in 2021 and has already passed 100 games, with more than 1300 runs and 130 dismissals as a 3s wicketkeeper-batter who very clearly loves his cricket.

Congratulations to all four. A lot of games, a lot of service, and plenty more still to come.

Official Club Statement. 🟧⬛🏏

The club accepts full responsibility for the lack of public accountability shown so far this season.

Corrective action will be considered during the offseason.

We thank members for their feedback during this difficult time.

Team lists are in. 🟧⬛🏏

We’re deep enough into the season now that selection is being held together by spreadsheets, WhatsApp replies, educated guesses, and the quiet hope that no one remembers a mystery injury at 10pm.

There’s plenty on the line across the club this weekend, with some teams wrapping up their regular seasons and others still pushing toward the finish.

Thanks to everyone who made themselves available, and to the captains and selectors currently pretending this is a normal administrative task.

Good luck, Lomas.

Don’t forget your kit. Or your availability. Ideally both.
