We have been very busy with Championship over the last month, with all 5 of our teams in action recently!

Our Senior Men's Team played Round 3 of their Championship campaign in mid June. The lads were beaten by the finest of margins, but will no doubt be ready for redemption in their next game!
Scorers:
Mikey Higgins 0-8 (2 x 2 pointers)
Ciaran Lyons 1-0
Fintan O Shea 0-2
Cathal Corrigan 0-1
Eoghan Mc Grath Butler 0-1
Stephen Mc Greal 0-1

Our Senior Ladies were also out in Round 3, and also very narrowly lost out to Fraser Valley, despite a great effort.

Our Inter Men's Team had a great win in Round 3 of their campaign, winning well against a strong Fraser Valley side.

Our Junior Men's team kicked off their campaign against ISSC, unfortunately losing out with the last kick of the game. They came out strong in round 2 and had a great win away to Van Isle.

Our Junior Ladies started their campaign vs ISSC, with lots of ladies playing Championship football for the first ever time! The girls played a great game, against a very experienced ISSC side, unfortunately coming up short on the day.
The girls headed to Victoria for Round 2. Playing vs a strong Van Isle side. The girls were very unlucky to lose out, hitting the cross bar on numerous occasions.

Well done to all of our Teams, and best of luck in the upcoming matches! 🙌

Championship is in full swing for us, with some matches from Round 1 and Round 2 having already being played.

Our Senior Men's first game vs ISSC was postponed to a later date, so they started their campaign with a Round 2 match vs St Finnians. The lads kicked of their season with a great win. Despite the setback of an early goal to add to the injury and availability absences our team bounced back and with the aid of three first half goals, set a solid platform for the win. We wish Eoghan Mc Grath Butler a speedy recovery from the knee injury he got at the throw in for the second half.
Scorers:
Mikey Higgins 2-8 (three x 2 pointers)
Cathal Corrigan 0-6
Niall Quinn 1-1
Fintan O Shea 1-0
Eoghan Mc Grath Butler 0-2
Sean Mac Uildhinn 0-2
Stephen Mc Greal 0-2
Nick Sheehan 0-1

The Senior Ladies faced ISSC in their first game. The match was close right to the end with the girls scoring some great goals. Unfortunately ISSC scored a couple of points in the last few minutes to see it out.
The girls bounced back in round 2 against St Finnians. The girls started strong and never let up, scoring 6 goals, and really pulling away in the second half. The girls now have a break until the end of June.

Our Intermediate Men were out last week after a Bye week in round 1. They kicked their season off against St Finnains. The match was very tight throughout but unfortunately the lads couldn't find the back of the net to get over the line, with goals bring the difference in the game. The lads lost out by a single point. No doubt they will back stronger in the next game!

Thank you to our sponsors for the season who make it possible for us to play for the year 🫡
