🌊 The ocean gives us so much. Let’s give a little back. 💙

Every dive is a reminder of just how incredible our ocean is — from the tiniest nudibranch to the Giant Pacific Octopus, kelp forests, and endless life beneath the surface. And protecting it doesn’t always require a huge gesture. Sometimes, it starts with the small things.

🌎 Leave the site better than you found it. If you see a piece of trash, pick it up — even if it isn’t yours.

🐚 Leave the ocean where it belongs. Shells, rocks, plants, animals and everything else you discover are part of an ecosystem. Admire them, appreciate them, and leave them exactly where you found them.

📸 Take only photographs and memories. Your best souvenir from a dive should be the story you get to tell, not something you take home.

🧴 Choose ocean-conscious sunscreen.
♻️ Reduce single-use plastics whenever you can.
🚯 Keep our beaches, shorelines and dive sites clean.
🐙 Give marine life space — don’t touch, chase or disturb it.
🌱 Support conservation and learn about the places you dive.
💙 And most importantly — care. Learn about the places you dive and the creatures that call them home.

Because every piece of garbage we remove, every plastic bottle we refuse, and every animal we give space to matters.

We don’t have to be perfect ocean advocates. We just have to start.

August So Far… 🌊🤿

August has been BUSY (in the best possible way)! We’ve been a little behind on posting, so here’s a look at what the last three weeks have been like around the shop and underwater.

From Open Water certifications to specialty training, local safaris, and a trip to Barkley Sound, our instructors and divemasters have been putting in the miles and getting lots of divers in the water!

Divemasters Jennifer, Jason & Serhii, alongside Instructor Jessica, have been exploring some of our favourite local sites, including Porteau Cove, Kelvin Grove, and the Kelp Forest at Ogden Point.

Curious about scuba diving but not quite ready to commit to the full course? Our Intro to Scuba is the perfect way to give it a try!

Spend one evening with us in the classroom and pool, where we’ll introduce you to the basics of scuba diving and get you comfortable breathing underwater. All equipment and transportation are provided, so you can simply show up, learn, and have fun.

It’s a great way to find out if scuba is something you’re ready to dive into before signing up for your full certification course.

And if you decide to continue with your Open Water course, we’ll credit the cost of your Intro to Scuba toward your course!
