More details ð
Campbell River on Vancouver Island is a great base for adventures. It's very close to Strathcona Provincial Park (my personal favorite area to hike & camp) but it also has some pretty cool trails as well!
*Ripple Rock trail: a moderate hike thats 9km return with ~300m elevation gain
*Elk Falls: is a quick 2km hike with 100m elevation gain. It has a cool suspension bridge and a couple viewing points to see the falls. Make it a longer hike by connecting with the Canyon View Trail
*Campbell River Lookout trail: this is a harder hike thats around 7km return with ~600m elevation gain.
*Canyon View Trail: a beautiful loop trail around the river, mostly an easy hike but there are stairs at the one end of the loop. 7km return with 100m elevation gain.
*Bonus Adventure: Including this fun day trip hike over to Quadra island because its only a 10 minute ferry ride over from Campbell River. The Chinese Mountain loop & Beechs Mountain trail is my favorite out of all of these. The views really surprised me on this one! To do both its just under 7km return with 460m elevation gain.
Have you been to Campbell River before?
*Save this for your future island adventures*

Well Squamish, it's been a while! Nice to get back to one of my favorite hikes in Squamish that looks over at the Chief, the Howe Sound, and Garibaldi Mountain ð
This hike seems to still remain mostly unknown by hikers and more so a popular climbing route.
It's always cool to see the climbers coming up the rock face. I sure do admire the sport and hope to get into it soon. Not sure I'd ever do something like that but you never know haha ð
It's been interesting being out on the mainland haha. Nice to see friends but I'm reminded by the reasons I chose to move out to a quieter area of the island. ðĪŠ
What'd you get up to this past weekend? Share a photo in the comments if you like. That let's me know if people actually read my captions ð

There's a reason it gets busier here in BC in the summer and why most of us who are from here don't leave in the summer...
Funny enough, summer isn't my personal favorite season but I do still love it because you're able to do every activity here in the summer including climbing up all of the mountain peaks.
Swimming & kayaking are also a personal favorite and we have no shortage of spots to enjoy that at.
We really are spoiled here in BC with having the ocean, countless mountain peaks, lakes galore, rivers and lush green forests.
Countdown is on to summer now!
What are you most excited for this summer??
