Great in the Golden State 🏆
Thomas Venos and Barry Henderson had a fantastic weekend at the WC50 Gold River Sacramento Wheelchair Tennis Classic in California, with Thomas winning his 2nd Singles title of the year.

Thomas went 2 for 2, adding the Men's Doubles title with fellow BC athlete Barry Henderson, who also had a successful Singles tournament, reaching the semifinals.

Congratulations to both athletes and best of luck as they push towards Nationals in November at UBC.

💯 📈 Breaking into the Top 100!

Join us in congratulating Patrick Levis for breaking into the Top 100 of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour rankings for the first time!

Patrick reached a career-high of 98th in the World Rankings this week, joining fellow BC athletes Thomas Venos and Barry Henderson in the top 100 of the Men's Open Division!

Patrick has had a busy year on tour with tournaments in Canada, USA, Poland and Croatia this year, and the work is paying off with a rise up the ranks.

BCWSA will be celebrating our 55th Anniversary on October 3 at the Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby.

Connect with old and new friends, enjoy looking through our photo exhibits, listen to and share incredible stories, and join us for a delicious dinner and awards celebration recognizing over five decades of fantastic accomplishments.

Date: Saturday, October 3
Location: The Riverway Clubhouse at the Riverway Golf Course and Driving Range - 9001 Bill Fox Way, Burnaby.
Time: Doors open at 5 pm, and dinner will begin at 6 pm, along with our awards presentations.

Congratulations to Byron Green and Team Canada on their seventh place finish at the 2026 World Wheelchair Rugby Championship in Sao Paulo, Brazi. The team wrapped up competition with a 48-43 over the Netherlands.

Barry Henderson is in Sweden this week at the WC50 Bromma Salk Wheelchair Tennis Cup. After receiving a first-round bye Barry opened his tournament with a 6/0 6/2 win over Tomas Svasek in the Quarterfinals and moves on to face fomer Wimbledon champion Stefan Olsson in the semis tomorrow!

Join us in wishing Barry the best of luck as he competes against some of Europe's top Wheelchair Tennis players.
