The British Columbia Mainland Cricket League (BCMCL) is excited to present the BC FRIENDSHIP CRICKET CUP 2026, taking place September 4–7, 2026.
This year, the BC Friendship Cricket Cup will take place instead of the BCMCL Super Bash, with an even bigger vision — to bring our cricket community together and provide a strong competitive platform for our youth and talented cricketers to compete at a high level.

Some days remind us exactly why we love this game.
Today, Kamal Deep Bal and Gunish Rai produced two outstanding bowling performances — 8 wickets each! 👏👏
For Kamal Deep Bal of Burnaby Wescan, this performance carries a special message. After decades of putting on the whites, carrying that cricket bag and giving his time and passion to the game, he can still take the ball and produce an 8-wicket spell. That is dedication. That is longevity. That is love for cricket. ❤️🏏
And then there was Gunish Rai — what a devastating spell!
The opposition was sitting comfortably at 69/1.
Then everything changed.
They were ALL OUT FOR 80! 😮🔥
From 69/1 to 80 all out — 9 wickets falling for only 11 runs, with Gunish taking 8 wickets in a sensational bowling performance.
These are not just individual achievements. These are moments for the entire BCMCL community to celebrate.

What an incredible display of power hitting and determination by Dilraj Buttar! 🏏🔥
Playing for Surrey United in the 100-ball tournament, Dilraj produced an innings that will be remembered for a long time. He smashed a spectacular 141 runs from just 63 balls, including an unbelievable 14 sixes and 6 fours, at a strike rate of 223.81!
From the moment he settled at the crease, Dilraj took control of the game. Boundaries kept flowing, sixes sailed over the ropes, and his fearless batting completely changed the momentum of the match. His brilliant knock helped Surrey United secure a massive 105-run victory.
Performances like this are what make cricket special — talent, confidence, hard work and the courage to take the game on.

The British Columbia Mainland Cricket League (BCMCL) extends its heartfelt thoughts and support to everyone affected by the devastating fires in Summerland and the Okanagan region.
As a league, our cricket family reaches well beyond the Lower Mainland, and we are proud to have teams and members representing the Kelowna and Okanagan communities. When one part of our community is hurting, we all feel it.
Our thoughts are with the families who have lost their homes, livelihoods and belongings, as well as everyone who has been displaced or impacted during this incredibly difficult time.
We also express our sincere appreciation to the firefighters, first responders, emergency personnel, volunteers and community organizations working tirelessly to protect and support people in the affected areas.
Cricket brings us together on the field, but community brings us together when it matters most.
