Dear Hellenic Community and Association Leaders,

On behalf of the Greek International Film Festival Tour of Canada – Vancouver (GIFFT Vancouver), we are pleased to invite you, your members, families and friends to join us for this year’s festival, taking place September 25–27, 2026, at the Dunbar Theatre in Vancouver.

Over three days, GIFFT Vancouver will bring our Hellenic community and the broader Vancouver community together to celebrate Greek cinema, culture, history, faith and storytelling.

More than a film festival, GIFFT Vancouver is an opportunity for our community to come together, reconnect, celebrate our heritage and support the continued presence of Greek culture in Vancouver.

We especially hope to see you on Friday, September 25!

We would love to have the leadership of each of our communities and associations join us for Opening Night on Friday, September 25.

The evening will include a wine and cheese reception, the Opening Night program and film, and will be a wonderful opportunity for our community leaders to come together and help us officially launch the festival.

We encourage you to attend Friday evening and invite your members, families and friends to join you. Tickets are available for purchase, and we hope to see strong representation from communities and associations across the Lower Mainland and beyond.

To make it easier for our Hellenic organizations to attend together, we are pleased to offer the following special group promotion:

Purchase 10 tickets and receive 2 additional tickets complimentary.

To qualify, the 10 tickets must be purchased together in one transaction by one person on behalf of your community or association. Once purchased, simply let the GIFFT Vancouver team know which community or association the tickets were purchased on behalf of, and we will arrange the 2 complimentary tickets.

Some of our dancers attended the wonderful half day workshop hosted by Anemos Greek Dance Group ! Thank you Anemos ! Also Thank you Angela C. for letting us know about it !

As we read/ hear the various opinions on Nolan’s interpretation of The Odyssey, one thing is for sure, the interest in all things/ anything in the Hellenic culture has increased, hopefully that would lead to interest in learning the dances. Many of us started from just one part of the culture and we ended up with dancing!

resume on Thursday, Sept. 17th at 7:30 pm, Community Centre. Have a great summer everyone!
