Every Tuesday in August, we’re offering additional time slots for pickleball court rentals!

We wanted to update our community on the Granville Island Waterpark operations as we know the Waterpark is a staple in our community!

The Splash Park is temporarily closed while Granville Island install push buttons so that the park can stay open during water restrictions. The estimated completion date is mid July but we will keep you updated if there are any changes.

The waterslide uses recycled water and can operate during water restrictions. It will open on June 27th and we will have community engagement tables set up in the park. We have our staff trained and ready for a fun summer in the Waterpark.

We are equally disappointed as all of you that the splash park will have a delayed opening but we ask all community members to be respectful towards our staff during this time.

Our amazing 2025-2026 board had their final meeting last night. A big thank you to all involved (a few missing faces from this picture)

A particular thank you to our president Meghan and long standing board member Peggy for their contributions over the last four years. You made such a positive impact on our board and in the community.

☀️ SUMMER DAY CAMPS ☀️

Day Camp registration opens on April 8th at 7pm online or in-person. Remember this year there is a citywide registration date. This means all community centre day camps will open their registration at 7pm on April 8th.

If you prefer to phone in for your registration, you will have to wait until 10am on April 9th.

🚧 Investing in our Community 🚧

You might have noticed some changes around the centre this week! We are excited to announce that we are upgrading our kitchen.

You might notice it’s a little bit more noisy around the centre but don’t worry it’s only temporary! This new and improved kitchen will allow us to offer a whole new range of programs to our community.

Summer Day Camp Registration Update

Starting 2026, all Vancouver community centres will share one city-wide registration date. There will no longer be separate dates for each centre.

Registration opens:
✅ Online and in-person: Wednesday, April 8 at 7 pm
✅ By phone: Thursday, April 9 at 10 am

👉 Tip: Make sure your ActiveNet account is up to date before registration day.

Due to popular demand, spots fill up quickly and are allocated by the system on a first-come, first-served basis.
