ISLAND & COASTAL DIVISIONALS CHAMPIONSHIP: VPSC PLACED 1ST 🥇🦈
3 days, 71 athletes, 5,880 points. Our athletes 113 podiums out of 425 individual swims, bringing back 42 gold, 38 silver, and 33 bronze!

Addy Brady led the girls with 189 points across 18 swims while Kieran Flynn led the boys with 155 points across 16 swims. Both of them just kept swimming.

Over the three days, we had 16 athletes qualify 33 new provincial qualifying events and 24 athletes achieve 48 new divisional events. To close it out, our team broke 5 new club records in the mixed 4x100 medley relay across 12&U, 14&U, 16&U, 18&U, and Open. 🚨

While the results are great, the best part was the pool deck. Our team was loud, supportive, cheering for every single swimmer in every single heat. That energy is what VPSC is about!

What a weekend! We came together to celebrate the spirit, grit, and growth that made this season so special. So proud of every single athlete, grad, and volunteer in this community. 💙

VPSC went to LMR Open on June 6-7. It was the last shot at Summer Divisionals and 24 athletes went and got it. 57 new events qualified for Divisionals through the two days.

Kieran Flynn went beyond and got Provincials in 200 & 800 Free!!

The Mel Zajac Jr International is unlike any other meet on the calendar. Our National, Junior Performance, and Senior Performance athletes got to share the pool with Olympians, Team Canada, and the USA Junior National Team last weekend. A powerful reminder of what this sport looks like at its highest level.

Congratulations to the athletes who achieved new qualifying standards for Canadian Trials and Canadian Open, and we added a new club record! Big performances and even bigger motivation heading into the summer championship season.

On Sunday May 31st, Minis Platinum and Minis Gold attended the 10&U Delta Sprint Cup! With 18 swimmers in attendance, there was lots of good team spirit and cheering! Gold got to race at their first sanctioned meet, and Platinum focused on holding their technique while racing fast! Well done team!

Minis Gold/Silver/Bronze had their Swim-a-thon lap count practice on May 16th, and Minis Platinum had theirs on May 23rd!

During this event, they got to swim as many laps as they could in the limited time, with each 50m swum equalling 2 points! Gold/Silver/Bronze had 50 minutes, and Platinum had 60. One team per lane, and prizes awarded to the top numbers! Well done everyone!
