Swimming Canada is hosting the 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championship right here at the UBC Aquatic Centre in exactly 1 week from today (August 17β20)!
This is the first time Canada is hosting this event, featuring top 18 & under athletes from around the Pacific Rim (Canada, USA, Australia, Japan, and more)!
Weβre looking for passionate members of our swimming community to join the team:

We are thrilled to introduce Darryl Rudolf as our new Head Coach and Program Director!
Coach Darryl is well known across the BC swimming community for his energetic, tenacious, and approachable leadership. He brings an excellent proven track record of program building and swimmer development. From leading programs at the Pacific Sea Wolves, Campbell River Killer Whales, and Richmond Rapids, Darryl has consistently guided athletes from their very first strokes to provincial and national podiums.
Coach Darryl brings an exceptional blend of leadership, passion, and vision to VPSC. Whether on the pool deck mentoring swimmers or behind the scenes guiding our programs, his team-first approach aligns perfectly with our commitment to physical and mental health, academics, and athletics.
We look forward to this exciting next chapter under his guidance!

Huge congratulations to our VPSC athletes who crushed it at the 2026 BC Summer Games in Kelowna! π₯πββοΈπ΄ββοΈπββοΈ
While swimming rocked the pool at the H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre, we also had VPSC representation taking on the Triathlon events!

Triathlon at the BC Summer Games showcases incredible endurance and versatility, combining swimming, biking, and running in high-octane multi-sport formats:
Super Sprint: A fast, high-intensity race packed with quick transitions between the swim, bike, and run.
F1 (Formula 1): A continuous, multi-stage triathlon format where athletes complete continuous loops of swimming, biking, and running in rapid succession.
Aquathlon: A pure test of speed and stamina combining open water swimming and running.

Congratulations to Maja Molyneux for her performance at the KISU Open Water Championships, held on July 26, 2026, at Okanagan Lake Park in Penticton, BC!
Maja placed 3rd overall in the competitive 15+ Open Water 5km race.
We would also like to recognize and thank Tonje Molyneux for volunteering out on the water as a turn official during the event.
Thank you both for representing us so well on and off the course!

The 2026 BC Summer Games (July 23β26) are British Columbiaβs largest multi-sport event for youth, bringing together over 3,000 athletes, coaches, and officials across 19 sports.
Swimming events kick off this weekend at the H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre in Kelowna! π

Four days of racing at the Swim BC Summer Provincial Championships and we popped off!
