TOMORROW!!! 🚨

Baby-Wearing Dance (BWD) classes are designed for parents and caregivers of small babies (under 7 months) who want to dance to fun, uplifting music while providing movement stimulation to their babies. The best part is you can enjoy this class whether your baby is awake or asleep … or falls asleep halfway through! Classes are 30 minutes, movement is low impact, and participants are welcome to take breaks to tend to their personal and/or baby’s needs as required.

It is up to each participant whether to hold their baby in their arms or use a baby carrier.

Introductory classes are being offered:
Monday, July 17th ⏰ 10:30-11am Wednesday, July 19th ⏰ 10:30-11am
Friday, July 21st ⏰ 10:30-11am

Nathan Fadear grew up in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, but knew from a very young age that living in a small town would not be a big enough stage for the career he wanted. Nathan started performing at the age of 14 and trained in various dance styles at Just For Kicks Dance Studio.

After graduating high school Nathan moved to Vancouver to pursue a professional dance career. In 2010 he performed in the Opening Ceremonies for the Vancouver Winter Olympics as the cultural sections opening dramatic performer. Following the Olympics Nathan trained under the direction of Heather Laura Gray as part of the “INdustry” dance training program and also with Moses Asher Christen’s “Lux Dance Company.”

In addition to performing on multiple contracts with Princess Cruise Lines, some of Nathan’s favourite film/TV credits include- Riverdale, iZombie, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Haters Back Off, Man in the High Castle, the remake of Disney’s Freaky Friday, and Hallmark channel’s Love at First Dance. Many of Nathan’s dance experiences have brought international travel, including travelling to Sweden to perform for the International Diabetic Conference working with Kip John Productions, Poland for the International Polish Folk Festival, and Reno Nevada to perform at the Eldorado Resort and Casino in Santa’s Christmas wonderland with Spirit Productions. Nathan is a teacher at Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver and hosts workshops at multiple lower mainland studios. Most recently Nathan had the opportunity to work with choreographer Mandy Moore on the new NBC show “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”.

For dancers in Musical Theatre, we aren't sure what this means for our Holiday Spectacular. We will keep you updated as we know more.

We wish we had better news for you as our staff, dancers and our families have been doing everything right so far. We understand that this feels extremely frustrating but we will get through this, and we will get through this together. We always knew this might happen and who knows? Maybe it will only last another week. What's important to remember is that we are all healthy and we are lucky enough live in a time where we can connect virtually.

Thanks to all of our VCDC families for your flexibility and support during this challenging time
