Our final trip of the 2026 Summer Camp season took us on a road trip all the way out to African Lion Safari. 🦁☀️ A one-of-a-kind experience that included guided tours through the safari, playgrounds, and animals up close that had our campers absolutely losing it.

We couldn’t have asked for a better adventure to close out an incredible season for our kids and community. 💚

We’re incredibly grateful to have received a grant through the Nike Community Impact Fund, supported by Jamaal Magloire, to deliver low cost, barrier free basketball programming for youth in our community. 🏀 ❤️

Sport is one of the most powerful tools we have for youth development and this grant means more West Scarborough kids get to experience that. Thank you to Jamaal Magloire and the Nike Community Impact Fund for your support! 🙏

BGC’s Got Talent and last week our campers proved it. 🎤☀️

Last Friday we attended the Youth Employment Celebration hosted by the Toronto Youth Employment Table. 🙌👏

This August, close to 2,000 young people found meaningful summer employment through the United Way Greater Toronto network and the City of Toronto , and we were proud to be part of that number through our Canada Summer Jobs team.

Youth unemployment in Toronto sits at nearly 17%, higher than both the national and provincial average. It’s good to have events like this one to remind us how important it is for organizations like ours to keep showing up for young people.

Week 7 took us to the Toronto Zoo for a rare opportunity to see all our summer sites together again! ☀️🐾

We explored so many incredible enclosures and animals throughout the day, and were even lucky enough to see the Red Pandas! What an amazing opportunity for our campers this summer. 🐼💚

Happy ! Today, we’re celebrating the energy and brilliance of youth both right here in our West Scarborough community, and around the world. 🌍⚡

Whether that be speaking up for mental health, serving on our Youth Council, or just being part of our dedicated youth programming, we’re proud of what West Scarborough youth have been able to accomplish.

Our commitment to providing safe spaces for them will always be a priority at West Scarborough. So let’s continue to empower youth to be the best versions of themselves! ❤️

A little throwback to last month when our amazing North Scarborough staff team helped out with ’s BBQ at Jack Goodlad Park! ☀️💚 Always happy to show up for our community and the people who show up for us. Thank you for having us Salma!

Beach day with the whole BGC West Scarborough family. 🏖️☀️ Yesterday all our sites came together at Woodbine Beach for Week 6 of Summer Camp. Sandcastles, lake splashes, park time, and everyone together under the sun. Hard to think of a better way to spend a hot summer day.

Week 5 took us back to Brooks Farms and our campers had an absolute blast. 🫐☀️

Bouncing in the trampoline park, taking a wagon ride, and picking raspberries straight from the farm. It’s always a good day when we make it out to Brooks Farms and yesterday was no exception. Happy we had the chance to bring our campers again this year! 🚜 💚
