Brought a load and marked my way to Batchawana MTN today! Super helper Jeff rode - and won the day by a large margin! He's a winner!
The last 3 km sure is difficult when moist put the rest of it rides great - praying for a nice day Friday! Fire pit is made, and we wish that was moose tracks ice cream.

Great day, marking stage two for crank the shield.
Even got to ride with a few friends that came up early for the event!

Rebuilding some bridges on the iconic bee sting downhill for stage two of crank the shield with local legend Kyle Slater!

We are going to have a rare giveaway of a vintage 2012 crank the shield jersey with the tag still on it!! we will keep drawing names until we get somebody that fits a size medium.
If it does not fit, you must acquit.
Note the unisex design!
We are just six days away from Ontario's only MTB stage race!

A big thanks to Darrel for compiling the data for all 3 days of Crank the Shield:SSM 2026! Without help from many left-side brained friends you'd still be getting hand-drawn maps! Ride with GPS has a function to download to garmin as GPX, be sure to download this app if you don't have it! If any changes happen between now and the event, we will update the maps!
Registration for Crank is just one week away - open from 4 to 8pm at Stokely Creek Lodge! A comprehensive email to participants with more specifics will be mailed out tomorrow!
