Today, September 4, we celebrate World Taekwondo Day.

This day honors the historic milestone that helped Taekwondo become an official Olympic sport, and we remember the countless Masters, athletes, instructors, and practitioners who dedicated their lives to the growth of Olympic Taekwondo around the world.

Born in South Korea, Taekwondo has grown into a globally recognized Olympic sport practiced and loved by people of all ages and backgrounds.

But Taekwondo is more than kicks, techniques, and competition.

Through Taekwondo, we learn Respect, Discipline, Self-Control, Perseverance, and most importantly, “Do” (道) — The Way.

At Master Jung’s Taekwondo Academy, we are proud to continue the tradition of authentic Korean Olympic Taekwondo and pass these values on to the next generation.

Today marked a very meaningful milestone as we held the first belt promotion test at Master Jung’s Taekwondo Academy. 🎉

From the day they first stepped into the dojang to the moment they stood before us today, our students practiced countless times, overcame challenges, and continued to grow one step at a time.

Even when they felt nervous, they showed courage and gave their very best until the end. Watching them was truly inspiring. 👏

A belt promotion test is about much more than earning a new belt. It is an opportunity for students to demonstrate the results of their hard work and dedication while developing confidence, self-discipline, perseverance, and strong character. 💪✨

The color of the belt may change, but the stronger hearts and greater confidence built along the journey are the most valuable achievements of all.

To all our students: Thank you for training so diligently and completing today’s challenge with courage. We are incredibly proud of the effort and determination you showed. We truly love each and every one of you, and we will always be cheering you on. ❤️

We may have different ages, careers, and reasons for beginning Taekwondo, but the moment we step onto the mat, we become one Taekwondo family. ❤️

We are incredibly proud of our adult students who continue to attend class, embrace new challenges, and encourage one another through difficult moments. 💪

A few members of our Adult Taekwondo Family were away on vacation and could not join us for these photos, but every member—whether pictured or not—is an important part of our family. We look forward to taking another wonderful group photo with everyone together next time! 📸😊

What an unforgettable and special day for our Master Jung’s Black Belt Family! ❤️

We would like to sincerely thank all of our students, parents, and families who joined us for the Whoop-Up Days Parade. 🙏

Thank you to all of the parents who took time out of their morning to be there with your children and supported us with such warm encouragement from beginning to end. Your support truly made this experience even more meaningful and special.

We are also incredibly proud of all of our students who walked together, participated with great energy, and stayed positive all the way to the end. 🥋💪

Watching our students wait for one another, encourage each other, smile together, and move forward as one reminded us that Taekwondo is about much more than just learning techniques. It is about building confidence, respect, perseverance, responsibility, and the strength to never give up. ❤️

This parade was more than just one event.

It was the very first Whoop-Up Days Parade for Master Jung’s Taekwondo Academy, and it became a meaningful memory created together by our students and families. ✨
