XTRATUF backed the WestCoast Triple Plank this year—from the mountains to the beach, to those who stood on a YETI cooler podium.
They didn’t just show up for the winners; they outfitted the entire crew. Boots on every role: Redd Fish Restoration Society staff in the field grinding through the ocean-side work, and the behind-the-scenes crew keeping it all moving— benbilocq shaping his quarter pipe day in and day out, Jean-claudia Vandam and her mayo handling, scorekeeping and registration, Sarah A King designing all our art, the media team shooting the event, and Colin D. Watt on the mic.
Stood on a YETI podium this year? You walked away with a pair.
That’s what it looks like when a brand shows up for the work.
Built for the ones who move between it all. Thank you, XTRATUF!

Westcoast Triple Plank presented by —Skate Awards!
Tuff City was buzzing the Sunday on which our contestants took over the Tofino park.
Let’s be honest—we all kind of wished that the kids were scheduled after the adults, because of the unreal and hard to match level of riding they presented! Big shoutout to Mavi Terhune and Tao Currie for absolutely stealing the show.
We also need to recognize the real and we couldn’t be more grateful to see Rick McCrank give us all a clinic 🫡 the nose crook on the down rail was a chef’s kiss.
Big thanks to all the riders for showing up and giving your best. We loved seeing everyone have fun and push to get their tricks.
We couldn’t give away all the sick awards without our generous sponsors. So let’s give them a proper shoutout, here we go:

“Partaking in Triple Plank and having the opportunity to create an award in tribute to Martin Gallant was humbling,” says , craftsperson of this year’s inaugural “Slashhhh Award” honouring our friend Martin Gallant, who sadly passed away from cancer.
brought unmatched energy to Triple Plank every year — hyping everyone up and even building the banked slalom start shack one season (seen in the shot of Lenny dropping in, 2023). For the award, Lenny incorporated wood specimens collected from Martin’s house into the piece itself.
“He had such a deep appreciation for the spalting and figure in maple,” says Lenny. “Martin led by example and carved his own path through life with energy, flair, style, and a unique way of being.
“One of the qualities we all loved most about Martin was his ability to tell stories. At we believe storytelling is a superpower, and Martin had mastered it. He could captivate you completely, pulling you into the present moment with his dynamism. It may have been his broken English or his attitude — either way, his energy was infectious and deeply woven into our snowboard community. Triple Plank is a testament to community, and Martin was — and will continue to be — part of it. Huge props to Nat and for bringing Martin out in style to this year’s Plank and for everything they do to keep his spirit alive.”
“To the organizers, and it felt clear that the ‘Da Good Life Award’ should go to JF Pelchat. When we looked at his energy, his contributions to the community, and his natural ability to tell stories, he stood out immediately. He comes days early to help dig the course, sessioned with his girls and crew, and spread good energy everywhere he goes, especially when the shirt comes off.”
Martin and JF first met in kindergarten, reconnected through snowboarding as teenagers, and later shared the early Whistler snowboard scene (and showed the world that the French Canadian scene was a force to reckon with). Their impact helped shape the culture and community we continue to celebrate today.

Foggy morning, sunny afternoon, cold water, beach hangs, and somehow spotting your friends in the lineup from a kilometre away. The surf portion of the 2026 WestCoast Triple Plank delivered!
Huge thanks to for supporting this year’s Triple Plank and helping keep eyes on the action all weekend long. Their binos became the unofficial beach essential — perfect for catching your homies threading a wave, your kids charging their heats, or spotting who’s about to get absolutely cleaned up on the inside.
From the judges tower to the driftwood sidelines, the NOCS PROVISIONS were in full rotation all weekend. Thanks for being part of it.
If you’re looking to grab a pair for your next beach day, you can pick them up at (Ukee) and (Tofino).

Sponsor Spotlight: !
We wanted to introduce everyone to one of our sponsors, Mint Cleaning.
Monika and Robyn, Ucluelet locals, founded Mint Cleaning in 2016, same year as we started Westcoast Triple Plank. They developed high-performance non-toxic cleaning products after struggling to find effective alternatives to conventional cleaning products.
Over the past 10 years they’ve taken their business to the next level. The powerful duo has been featured on the TV show “Dragons’ Den” and Mint Cleaning is now partnered with 450+ retail stores across Canada.
We love Mint Cleaning products for their fresh, essential oil-based scents and environmentally conscious formulas and packaging. Mint Cleaning is also proudly made in Canada!
This year we included Mint Bath Soak, Outdoor Mist and Wetsuit Wash in our goodie bags for all the participants. We also gave away a sick basket full of Mint Cleaning supplies to as the Stellar Volunteer award recipient. Congrats Candice, you’re a legend!!!
Thank you Monika and Robyn for being a part of Westcoast Triple Plank. We are so proud of what you’ve achieved so far and are grateful to have you amongst our partners!
