Congrats to Rebels Alumni Cole Dowling on signing with the Fort Frances Lakers for the 2026-27 season! The Lakers are adding a fearless heavy hitting defender to their blueline!

The Fort Frances Lakers have signed defenseman Cole Dowling. Dowling spent the past two seasons with the Kensington Wild U18AAA program.

"Cole's compete level was immediately evident while watching him play," said Lakers Head Coach/GM, Luke Judson.

"Cole plays fearlessly and defends hard. He plays simple, old school hockey that is sometimes lost in the modern game. Cole will be a great addition to a strong defensive group that will be hard to score against every night."

We are excited to share that Head Coach Brett Gallant along with assistant coaches Aiden Williams and Chas McNeill will be returning behind the bench for the 2026/27 season along with trainer Drew Rickard.

We are also excited to welcome Cleve McNeill to our staff as an assistant coach. Cleve previously spent time as the Head Coach of the Prince County Warriors u15 AAA team from 2016-2021 and also held multiple roles with Hockey PEI’s High Performance Program over those years before stepping away to start his young family but is now very excited to get back on a bench again!

Congratulations to Rebels forward Sam Surrett on being drafted by the Miramichi Timberwolves in the 8th Round, 96th overall of Maritime Junior Hockey League - MHL draft!

Congrats as well to Rebels alumni Cam Griffin and Jett Mills who were both selected by the Summerside Western Capitals! All three players join Rebels alumni Cole Dowling (Summerside Capitals 2025 Draft) as former Rebels to hear their names called at the MHL draft!

Looks like spoke too soon! We officially have 2 favourite teams at the Noah Dobson Hockey Fest!🤠

The “Jr. Western Rebels” join the “Western Lil Rebels” as the 2 best looking teams in the tourney if you ask us!🟢🟡

What a weekend❗️

Team Yellow defeats Armada #2 by score of 4-0 to finish with an undefeated record 3-0 while Team Green blanked the Valley Wildcats 4-0 to also finish with a perfect 3-0 record❕

Impressive stat lines:
Team Yellow - 3-0; 12 goals for, 2 goals against
Team Geeen - 3-0; 13 goals for, 1 goal against

Team Yellow goes 2-0 with a 3-1 victory over Kings #2 and a 5-1 victory over Kings #1!

Team Green also skates to a 2-0 record with a 5-1 win over Vees #1 and a 4-0 victory Jets #2
