Congratulations to all of our candidates for the Kai-Shin Black Belt grading this past Sunday in Mississauga! You all represented our club with great skill and we could not be more proud of you.

Savannah Whitehouse and Bryan Emmerson achieved their Sho-dan Rank, as they received their first degree black belts in Chito-Ryu Karate. Sensei Jeff Weese successfully passed to the rank of San-dan, or third degree black belt.

🥋 LOCAL MARTIAL ARTS SEMINAR – TAIJIQUAN FAN WITH APPLICATIONS

For anyone looking to broaden their martial arts experience and explore something a little different, Terry Langevin Educational Systems will be presenting a Taijiquan Fan seminar with practical applications in Belleville later this month.

The traditional folding fan combines graceful movement with some surprisingly effective martial applications. For practitioners from Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Taijiquan, Kung Fu, or other systems, it’s also a great opportunity to explore familiar concepts such as timing, distancing, body mechanics, coordination, fluid movement, and weapon control from a different perspective.

Registration Night is coming! Remember that all members, both current and new, must complete registration forms for the new year.

We will be holding our annual registration night on Tuesday September 1 from 5:30-7:00pm.

Please note there will be no Tiny Tigers, Kids Karate or 6pm Adult/Teen classes that night to accommodate for registrations.

Sensei Jeff’s noon class is canceled today. See you Tuesday!

Just a reminder that kids classes are closed for the month of August! We will have our registration night Tuesday September 1st and then kids classes will resume Thursday September 3rd.
