You come for the dancing. You stay for the people. ❤️
That might be my favourite part about Salsa.
Over time, the people you meet in class stop feeling like just dance partners. They become the people you laugh with, go out with, celebrate with, and eventually call family.
And sometimes being part of that family means you’re not even dancing. You’re standing on the side watching your bestie nearly drop someone… 😳😂
And then cheering like CRAZY when they somehow nail the recovery. 👏😂
That’s what means to us.
Learning Salsa is amazing. But finding a room full of people who know your name, want to see you win, and are genuinely happy you showed up?
That’s something even bigger. ❤️

There’s always that moment when you convince your friends you know Salsa… and then they actually ask you to prove it. 😂
“Okay, show me.”
👁️👄👁️
Turns out knowing YOUR part and knowing THEIR part are two very different things. 😂
And that’s half the fun of learning Salsa. You don’t have to know everything. You just need to know your role, trust your partner, and try not to confidently teach your friends something you completely made up. 😂
Want to actually know what you’re doing?
Toronto Dance Salsa has beginner Salsa classes for adults starting from ZERO.
Two left feet welcome.
No partner needed.
No experience needed.
Come learn your part. We’ll worry about the rest. 💃🕺❤️
Every Salsa dancer has that one Bachata friend who says, “Come on… just try it.” 😂
And somehow, eventually, they get you.
One of the best parts about learning to dance is realizing there’s always something new to explore. New music. New styles. New people. New ways to connect.
Maybe Salsa is your first love. Maybe Bachata becomes your thing. Maybe you end up loving both. ❤️
Either way, the hardest part is usually just giving it a try.
And yes… your dance friends are absolutely a bad influence. 😂
💃 Want to learn? Toronto Dance Salsa offers Salsa and Bachata classes for adults in Toronto, including complete beginners with two left feet.
No partner needed. No experience needed. Just come ready to learn, meet people and have fun.

Give me the shortest Salsa song. Give me the longest Salsa song. I’ll complain either way… and it’ll still be worth it. 😂
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of finishing a long Salsa song completely exhausted, out of breath, legs barely working… and somehow smiling from ear to ear. ❤️
Because for those few minutes, nothing else matters.
You’re not thinking about work. You’re not checking your phone. You’re not worrying about tomorrow.
You’re just there. Connected to the music, connected to another person, completely in the moment.
And then the DJ puts on another 9 minute song.
Alright… one more. 😂💃🕺
We’ve all been there. 😂
You get excited, ask someone to dance, and they hit you with, “Sorry, I’m too tired.”
No worries. You walk away.
Then 60 seconds later you turn around and… they’re dancing with someone else. 😭😂
What I’ve learned over time is don’t take rejection on the dance floor personally.
People say no for a hundred different reasons. Maybe they needed a break. Maybe they promised someone else a dance. Maybe they just weren’t feeling it in that moment.
Whatever the reason, don’t let one “no” change your energy.
Smile. Ask someone else. Keep dancing.
Because Salsa is way too much fun to spend the night wondering why one person didn’t say yes. ❤️💃🕺
AI can teach you anything… until it can’t. 😂
I love AI. I use it all the time.
But maybe don’t let ChatGPT teach you how to Salsa from your bedroom. 💀
Because dance isn’t just information. There’s nothing like being in a room with other people, laughing, feeling good, getting encouraged, being celebrated and figuring it out together.
Salsa was never meant to be learned alone in your room.
A great instructor can watch you, correct you and help you actually feel what your body should be doing.
Especially before you attempt that triple turn on your heel. 😂

Come for the dancing. Stay for the people. ❤️
A few moments from our August 22 socials 🔥
Whether you’ve only recently learned your Salsa basics or you’ve been dancing for years, everyone ends up on the same dance floor.
That’s what I love about these nights. Dancing, laughing, meeting people and creating a space where you don’t have to prove you belong.
Everyone belongs on the dance floor. ❤️

Before I learned Salsa and Bachata, I never understood when people said, “Just feel the music.”
Feel WHAT?! 😂
I assumed some people were just born with rhythm and the rest of us were out of luck.
Then I started taking classes and realized something important: you can actually learn this.
You learn how to hear the beat. How to count the music. How your steps connect to what you’re hearing. And little by little, something that once felt like a complete mystery starts to feel natural.
That’s when you stop thinking about every step and actually start to feel the music. ❤️
Confidence on the dance floor isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build.
So if Salsa or Bachata feels intimidating because you think you “don’t have rhythm,” good.
Nobody taught you yet. 💃🕺
“I never knew I was starving for it until I first tasted it.” ❤️
That’s honestly what Salsa can feel like.
It’s hard to explain to someone who’s never done it. The music. The energy. The connection. The confidence you start building. Walking into a room where people are genuinely excited to see each other, dance together and have fun.
Then you try it and suddenly you get it.
And before long, you become THAT friend trying to convince everyone in your life to come dancing with you. 😂
“You have two left feet? Perfect.”
“You don’t have a partner? You don’t need one.”
“You’ve never danced before? Even better.”
You just want the people you care about to experience what you discovered.
That’s why our Salsa Level 1 classes at Toronto Dance Salsa are built specifically for adults starting from zero.
Come try it. You might finally understand why your Salsa friend won’t shut up about it. 😂❤️
There’s something special about finding that Salsa partner where everything just clicks. ❤️
The timing feels easy. The connection feels natural. You try something new and they’re right there with you. And sometimes you finish the dance thinking, “Yep… I like this one.” 😂
That’s one of the best parts of Salsa. You’re constantly meeting new people, dancing with different partners and discovering connections you never would have found otherwise.
And you don’t need to be an experienced dancer to experience it. Everyone starts somewhere.
Come learn Salsa with us at Toronto Dance Salsa. No partner needed. Two left feet welcome. 💃🕺
