Our school going green!
Nalanda College will soon create another unique record by becoming the first Carbon Neutral Certified school in Sri Lanka. The energy audit to obtain this certification has already been conducted and it is expected to that the certificate will be awarded to the College on the World Environment Day which falls on 05th June
Nalanda 98 Group sponsored the cost of obtaining this certification with a donation of
Rs 265,091/- and the funds for same was handed over to the Principal Mr Iran Champika Silva, last week (06th May) by their President Mr Kasun Narangoda in the presence of their members Dr Harsh*tha Nethagee and Dr Jagathdeva Vidanagama.
Nalanda OBAโs Executive President Mr Mohan Gunadasa, General Secretary Mr Varuna Ratnaweera, Treasurer Mr Lahiru Liyanage and Deputy Organiser, Mr Charith Mallawarachchi were also present on this occasion.
