POOL COMMUNITY, LET’S RALLY FOR PAUL THORNLEY

If you’ve spent time around the pool world or AzBilliards.com forums, you may know Paul Thornley, better known as P.T. or PT109.

Paul is one of the true characters of our game. He is a storyteller, mentor, friend, and wit who has brought laughter, life, and love to the pool community for years.

Now, Paul needs us.

In late 2025, Paul suffered a devastating stroke that left him hospitalized for months with serious physical and cognitive damage. After returning home in early 2026, he suffered a second and even more serious stroke.

Paul is now bedridden, paralyzed on his right side, and facing severe cognitive challenges, including difficulty finding words. This is especially heartbreaking for someone so loved for his storytelling and larger-than-life personality.

He needs full-time care, medical equipment, medication, physiotherapy, and support while waiting for long-term care placement.

So we’re doing what the pool world does best. We’re showing up, having some fun, and raising money for one of our own.
