What a weekend for Team Canuck at the UG Games! 💙🖤

Despite battling through a morning of rain and an afternoon of blazing sunshine, our teams showed incredible grit, determination, and heart. Every athlete represented CrossFit Canuck with pride, and we couldn’t be more proud of the effort and sportsmanship on display!

🏅 Results:
💪 Swole Patrol – 6th Place (Weekend Warrior Division)
💪 DNR – 14th Place (Master’s Division)
💪 Go Canuck Yourself – 10th Place (Semi-Pro Division)
💪 DND – 49th Place (Amateur Division)

A huge congratulations goes out to our competition rookies who stepped onto the competition floor for the very first time:
👏 Margeux, Keiko, Matt, and V-Man! You represented Canuck with courage and determination, and we can’t wait to see you back out there next year!

A massive THANK YOU to everyone from the Canuck family who made the trip to Collingwood to cheer us on. Your energy, encouragement, and support throughout the day meant the world to our athletes.

For the past 12 years, the UG Games have been a CrossFit Canuck tradition. It’s one of our favourite weekends of the year—a chance to challenge ourselves, build unforgettable memories, and showcase what makes our little box such a special community within the Canadian fitness scene.

🚨 Action Required – We Need Your Help! 🚨

Our friend Vy and the Yume Living team need our support!

Vy and his team have been working hard to bring a much-needed retirement home to 3 Belmuir Place in Scarborough—a place where seniors can age with dignity, independence, and the care they deserve while staying close to family and their community.

Right now, the project is before the Committee of Adjustment for a zoning change. Unfortunately, a small group of neighbours has organized a petition opposing the development. To help demonstrate that the broader community supports this project, they're hoping to receive 100 letters of support.

✍️ Writing a letter only takes a couple of minutes. It doesn't need to be formal—just share, in your own words, why you believe Scarborough needs more quality housing options for seniors.

📄 Important: All letters must be saved and submitted in PDF format.

A couple of weekends ago, Canuck member Lisa stepped onto the platform pulled an incredible performance at her powerlifting meet!💪

She walked away with personal bests and new provincial records, including a 220 lb squat and a 155 lb bench press which is just 5 pounds shy of the national record.😱

Big things happen when you show up, trust the process, and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Congratulations, Lisa. We can’t wait to see what’s next for you!!🥇🙌

We’ve got a new member joining the Canuck family! 👶💙

A huge congratulations to our physiotherapist Dr. Kelcie on the arrival of her baby boy, Dean, who was born on May 23.

Mom and baby are both happy, healthy, and doing well, and we couldn’t be more excited for them.

Kelcie has been an important part of our community, helping so many of our members stay healthy, recover from injuries, and keep doing the things they love. We’re so excited for her as she begins this new chapter.

Please join us in wishing Kelcie, Dean, and their family all the best. ❤️

LIFT OFF IS BACK 🚀
After two great groups last year, we’re bringing Lift Off back to Canuck this July and August.

This is our 8-week Olympic Weightlifting program designed for beginner and novice lifters who want to improve their sn**ch, clean & jerk, strength, and confidence under the bar.

Whether you’re a CrossFitter looking to sharpen your lifting, a graduate of a previous Lift Off, or someone who’s always wanted to learn Olympic weightlifting in a supportive environment, this program is for you.

Over 8 weeks you’ll learn:
• Sn**ch and Clean & Jerk technique and fundamentals
• Pulling and squatting strength
• Better positions, timing, and confidence
• How to train like a weightlifter

And we’ll finish with a fun mock meet where you can put it all together and test some new maxes.
