⛵💙 Girls in Sailing Week | August 31 – September 4 💙⛵

Every Girl Belongs on Board!

Join us for an unforgettable week celebrating girls in sailing! Designed for sailors ages 10–18, this exciting program welcomes everyone from complete beginners to experienced racers, with pathways for CANSail 1/2,  and CANSail 3+.

Learn from an inspiring team of female sailors and coaches, including ABYC’s outstanding female race coaches, while building confidence, developing new skills, and making lasting friendships.

🌊 On the water:
• Sail your preferred fleet (ILCA, 420, RS Zest, or Opti)
• Improve boat handling, speed, starts, tactics, mark roundings, and more

⚓ On shore:
• Skill debriefs and racing strategy sessions
• Team-building activities and group discussions
• Hear from a National Team sailor

Whether you’re stepping into a sailboat for the first time or preparing for your next regatta, Girls in Sailing Week is all about building confidence, creating community, and inspiring the next generation of female sailors.

ABYC’s ILCA, Opti & C420 Race Teams are designed for motivated sailors looking to sharpen their skills, compete at regattas, and be part of a dynamic training environment.

With expert coaching, sailors develop advanced boat handling, racing tactics, strategy, rules knowledge, and regatta preparation skills. Throughout the season, team members train hard, build lasting friendships, and represent ABYC at competitions across Ontario and beyond.

If you’re passionate about racing and ready for the challenge, join us from May through October and see how far your sailing can take you! 🌊💨

As we look ahead to another incredible summer on the water, we’re taking a moment to look back at some of the amazing memories from last season.

From empowering young sailors at Girls Camp, to exciting competition at the Seahorse Regatta, to countless adventures through our Junior Sailing School, and thrilling evenings of Keelboat Racing, last summer was filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and unforgettable moments on Lake Ontario.

Whether it was a sailor’s first time stepping into a boat, a race-team breakthrough, or a sunset sail with friends, every day brought new opportunities to build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of sailing.

We can’t wait to create even more memories this summer and there’s still time to be part of them!
