The greens may be closed, but there's still plenty of work happening behind the scenes!

The other day we verticut the greens to remove built-up organic material and thin out the turf. This helps reduce friction, allowing your bowls to run more smoothly and making the greens faster.

On Monday and today, the City is topdressing the greens by spreading a layer of sand across the entire surface. The sand fills in low spots and small gaps, creating a smoother, more level playing surface.

All of this maintenance is an important part of keeping our greens healthy and playing their best. We can’t wait for everyone to enjoy the improved playing surface!
