🎳 What a comeback!

Congratulations to Andrea Hampton, Meno Jose and Richard Cripps on a fantastic performance at the 2 Day / 2 Bowls Open Triples Tournament (Aug. 15–16) at Windsor Lawn Bowling Club!

Competing against 18 highly competitive teams, the team finished Day 1 in 11th place with a 2–3 record. They came back strong on Day 2, winning all five games to finish with a 7–3 overall record and an impressive 4th-place finish! 🔥

A great weekend of competition and plenty of great bowls! 🎉

The OLBA hosted the Novice Aussie Pairs Provincial Championships, with the women competing in Cobourg and the men in Bobcaygeon.

A big congratulations to District 10 Cosburn players Tina Beckett, Riley Bronswyk, Andrew Tays and Joe Picko, who all advanced to the quarter-finals on Day 2.

While they didn’t get the outcome they were hoping for, they played one heck of a game and represented us proudly! 👏

Congratulations to all of the competitors who took part in the championships!

The Cobourg venue was especially fun. The ladies had a few Cosburn cheerleaders in the stands, minus the pom-poms, of course! 📣 We thoroughly enjoyed the club’s hospitality and the great music drifting over from Ribfest.

And to the gentlemen competing in Bobcaygeon… sorry we couldn’t be in two places at once! 😉

🎳 What a fantastic day at the Novice Open Triples!

This Saturday, we hosted our Novice Open Triples, generously sponsored by VS Sports, and what an event it was! We welcomed 84 novice bowlers from more than 15 different clubs. Players entered individually, with teams created by our draw master, making for a fun mix of new teammates and friendly competition. Overall rankings were also influenced by points earned during the skills competition, adding an extra challenge to the day!
