Congratulations to Mark Ngo (U14 A Applewood Coyotes), recipient of the John R. Gardner Special Recognition Award, recognizing inspirational courage in overcoming adversity while remaining dedicated to hockey.
Mark's return to the ice inspired his team, organization, and hockey community. After undergoing emergency surgery for a sudden brain tumour, Mark worked his way back to his team — later returning to game action and scoring in his second game back. He also raised nearly $4,000 for SickKids.
